Carnival make-up for groups.
The Spinnekoppen team has extensive experience preparing carnival groups for parades. We have worked for years with groups in Aalst, Ninove and Merelbeke, as well as smaller groups and individuals who want high-impact carnival looks.
Our process is straightforward: once costumes are finalized, a group delegation visits us to develop make-up concepts. We sketch and test on a volunteer, usually preparing multiple options so your team can choose confidently.
On event day we apply the selected design to the full group. Timing depends on complexity, but we usually estimate around 5 to 8 minutes per person. Depending on group size, one to three artists are recommended.
We can also support extras such as lashes and additional beauty make-up, but this must be arranged in advance and may require an extra artist.
We do not provide wigs or costume components.
You can either hire us to execute the full group look on parade day, or book us to train selected members of your team beforehand.
- Can we provide our own design?
- You can always send inspiration, but we create the final practical design ourselves so it can be executed efficiently on real event timing.
- Is the make-up waterproof?
- The base paint is not fully waterproof, but when rain is expected we apply barrier spray for extra protection.
- How much time do you need for ... people?
- That depends on design complexity. We calculate timing with you once the design is confirmed.
- Do we need to provide materials?
- No. We bring everything. If special elements are needed, we can source them in agreement with the group.
Carnival make-up costs EUR 60 per hour, per artist. Design preparation time is billed separately. We calculate travel costs at 0.38/km. We add this separately to your quote, because our artists are based in different locations and travel distances can vary.
